More snow in Seattle (again)

There's still snow on the ground and in the sky in Seattle.  The roads aren't great, schools are closed again, and it's hard to keep meetings scheduled at work because many aren't able to make it in.

The highways are not too bad, but the side roads in many areas are problematic.  At least this morning wasn't as bad in Seattle as it was in Oregon.  Check out this video to get an idea of how icy it was there today.  Of course there are still problems near Seattle, and it doesn't look like we're done with this weather yet.

Here's a shot of the snow in Cap Hill last week.

Looks the same today:IMG_2898.JPG

I decided to do a bike ride in the snow last weekend.  Although it was in the low 20s (F) it was still pretty fun, but unfortunately bike jumps become pretty sketchy in the ice.  No accidents to report though.

On Sunday Cheryl and I went to Alpental to check out the ski conditions.  The weather was beautiful, not too much powder, but it was still fun to get out there and snag some turns.

Anyhow, have fun!

Hey aaron, nathan here. Glad to hear you're surviving the weather OK. Good instincts on pulling into the parking lot and hitting up some chains.

If you're still not in regular work schedule on January 25/26/27... you should hit up the Saul Williams spoken word concerts happening in washington/oregon! Man. What an amazing man. world champion slam poet... I saw him live before at a music concert. 30 minute opening act... nobody even moved for a half hour. Just words... who'da thunk it possible? Here's his schedule in case you want to have somebody BLOW YOUR MIND! :> haha.

Jan 25: Pierce College, Puyallup Washington
Jan 26: Spokane Falls College, Spokane, WA
Jan 27: Southern Oregon University, Ashland OR

And in other news... are you keeping up with the daily set games on setgame.com? Got today's in 1min48 seconds... last one took me what felt like an hour. :)

Have fun!

Hmm. Never heard of Saul. I'll check out his site.

Spokane and Puyallup are a bit far to get to during the work week. It's possible to get to Puyallup I suppose. I watched a Collective Soul concert there a couple of years ago actually.

I have played a few set 'games of the day' this week actually. Got one in 1:44, and the other I did with Cheryl. I forget the time on that one, but it was similar. It's a pretty fun game - just played a few hands of it offline today too.

Hope things are going well out east!
