Whistler wasn't that bad...

Went to whistler this weekend totally expecting nothing but ice, rocks and stumps, but found some snow. I spent most of the morning off the peak chair which offered up some reasonable snow given the stated conditions. It had snowed 4-6 cm overnight, but some of the wind loaded slopes seemed to collect enough to make it worthwhile.

Later on I went over to the harmony bowl area, took a glimpse at the flute/oboe/piccolo bowls and decided that the best idea would be to stick back on the runs just out of bounds off the peak chair.

Also, on my way up the gondola I talked with a couple who have lived in whistler for the past 25 years. They mentioned this year was by far the worst they've seen and that they have even been using helicopters to transport snow all over the place. It is pretty ridiculous.

Life without snow and a curling victory

Well, this is the worst season I've ever seen in terms of snow. Whistler hasn't closed, but many of the hills in Washington have, and it's mid February...

I started buying stuff for my bike instead of tuning my ski equip.

I won a curling tournament two weeks ago in Vancouver. That was somewhat interesting, but it wasn't due to my mad skillz, mainly I had a varsity curler on my team who really carried us through. My curling skills are much better than I thought they would be though...

While I was in vancouver I randomly met up with Vince and Justin from my SYDE FX class. I hadn't seen those guys in quite some time.
