Biking in the cold

Met up with the Ti Cycles race club for one of their club rides this Saturday. We went to Renton's Tapeworm trail to do some early morning biking (really early for me). Too bad the temperature was near freezing... I had full fingered gloves on and I couldn't feel my hands about 10 minutes into the ride. After 30 mins or so I was able to get the feeling back, and things went better from there on in.

I had a good time and would do it again even with the minimal sleep the outing brings along with it.

This week will mark the beginning of my ski season as I head down to Whistler for some early season riding. Unfortunately I haven't found anyone to ride down there with, but I'll see if I can hook up with Glade to get in some runs.

K2 Warehouse Sale

This weekend was the K2 warehouse sale. I took the 8:35 am ferry over to Vashon Island and then proceeded to wait in line for 2hours as people walked out with all the reasonable merchandise.

I think we made it in around 11 or so, about the time all the good stuff had been taken. The prices were pretty good overall. I didn't buy much, but I did get a pair of blades for $20 (regular $150), and some clothing.

Next time I'm going to take the 5:30am ferry over and load up on snowboards/bikes.
