Valentine’s day and a birthday for Boots and Charlie

So, it’s been just over a week since I did my last post, and since then we have added hundreds more photos to the Kayla collection. Cheryl has uploaded another 150 pictures to Shutterfly too.

Cheryl’s also been busy updating her space as well. She has since written 3 new posts on her first, second, and fourth day home alone with Kayla. Check them out! Before that we had a fun visit with Cheryl’s sister Amy. I am pretty sure she enjoyed her time with Kayla too :)

This Sunday was Valentine’s day, and it just so happens it is also Boots and Charlie’s first birthday. Yes, they are now cats, no longer kittens. Which is good because it was odd calling Charlie (a 15 lb+ animal) a kitten. People just didn’t buy it… They have grown a lot since we brought them home from Kitty Harbor last year.

For Valentine’s day we made a cake to celebrate:

Boots and Charlie are now making the transition to cat food from kitten food. Good times!

And, of course there’s Kayla who has had many guests since the last post, and has also experienced many firsts – including her first valentine’s day! She didn’t seem that interested in the cake though… Maybe next year?

Kayla’s first two weeks

Kayla is almost two weeks old, and we’ve already got hundreds of pictures of her since the first post. She’s had her first trip to the park, her first trip to the lake, her first trip to Starbucks, her first potluck party, and tons of guests! Grandma Frey has already come to visit as well!
