Tiger/Black Diamond

Didn't make it to Vancouver/Whistler this weekend. Unfortunately my passport expired and now it's in process. So instead I stayed in town and went to Tiger Mt. and Black Diamond to do some biking.

Tiger I hit alone and wasn't that far from an ordinary ride. I'm getting used to my new crankbrothers pedals, and so far haven't had too much trouble unclipping in times of trouble.

Black Diamond was a bit more interesting. Went with a couple of co-workers and we rode for 3 hours or so. Not sure how far we went, but no big injuries to report... I took a bit of a fall off a 3.5 foot log, but that was probably the biggest fall I had which is not too shabby. Met some locals and actually got to Lake Sawyer this time. In the end we went out for tacos and mexican beer.

The trails are still a bit wet, but very rideable.

Ok, now there's snow...

Crystal was not too bad last weekend. The lifts ran into all sorts of problems, so if you could manage to make it up to the second set of lifts before the bottom one fell apart you'd see light lift lines.

Anyhow it was quite obvious they didn't have enough people working at the hill because the ticket line was 45 mins long and the lift repair just wasn't happening at a reasonable rate. The food lines were also ridiculous.

Anyhow, it's snowing now, perhaps I'll head out to whistler or hood this weekend... I do have a v-ball tourney on sunday, so I'm certainly tempted to stay in town as well.
